Youth Mural Program

The Youth Mural Program teaches youth about the history and culture of their community through the arts connecting them to their peers, local artists and community members while giving them a voice that enriches the quality of life in their community. Our youth under an artist's  guidance meet with community members, do research and/or take oral histories to design a mural and bring it to fruition. These murals designed by youth are a collective vision of our youth, community, and artists.

Begun in 2003 with the Mimbres Region Arts Council, the Youth Mural Program is now its own entity as of July 2020.
